Move-In Made Easy

At The Rosewood at Fort Oglethorpe, we’re dedicated to helping residents maintain dignity and independence in a warm, homelike environment. Whether you’re moving in yourself or helping a loved one transition, here are a few helpful tips and things to consider as you prepare to join our trusted community—proudly serving families since 1999:

    Unfurnished Apartments

With the exception of units reserved for short-term stays, all apartments at Rosewood are unfurnished—giving residents the freedom to personalize their space and express their individuality.

    Recommended personal items include:

    • Toiletries, bedding, linens, and bath rugs
    • Furniture such as a bed, recliner, rocker, sofa or loveseat, bookshelf, table and chairs, chest of drawers, nightstand, and television
    • Décor like wall hangings and personal mementos
    • Essentials such as a telephone and any comfort items that make the space feel like home

This approach allows each resident to create a familiar, comfortable environment that reflects their personality and lifestyle.

    Unlimited Visitation

Visiting hours at The Rosewood at Fort Oglethorpe are unlimited, allowing families to stay connected and involved. The front lobby is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Guests arriving after hours can simply ring the front doorbell for entry into the community. We encourage families to visit often and enjoy quality time with their loved ones in a welcoming, home-like environment.

    Meals and Dining

Meals are served in our welcoming dining room, with in-room dining available during short-term illness or recovery. Guests are always welcome to join residents for a delicious meal—meal tickets can be purchased at the business office.

Residents may bring outside food and beverages into their apartments. To ensure safety and freshness, all items should be stored in proper containers and clearly labeled and dated.

    Healthy Environment

The Rosewood at Fort Oglethorpe is committed to maintaining a healthy, safe environment for residents, staff, families, and visitors. To support this goal, smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping us create a clean and comfortable community for all.

    Activities and Events

Outings, activities, and special events are a vibrant part of life at Rosewood Senior Living. Residents are encouraged to participate and stay engaged through a variety of social, recreational, and spiritual opportunities.

To ensure safety, all residents are asked to sign in and out at the reception desk when leaving or returning to the community. Our faith-based programming includes devotionals and spiritual care support, offering meaningful ways for residents to connect and reflect.

    Transportation Provided

The Rosewood at Fort Oglethorpe offers transportation for shopping, sightseeing, community activities, and medical appointments. To ensure availability and smooth scheduling, residents are encouraged to arrange transportation in advance with the receptionist.

    Enrichment Opportunities

Residents at Rosewood enjoy daily enrichment opportunities designed to support engagement, connection, and joy. Monthly activity calendars are posted throughout the community and provided to each resident. Signature programs include gospel sing-alongs and memory care activities, with over 95 percent resident participation.

    Staff Members

Staff members at Rosewood Senior Living are not permitted to accept gifts of money, gratuities, or tips. If you wish to donate a gift to the community, please contact the executive director to discuss appropriate options.

    Discharges

Discharges require a 30-day notice to ensure a smooth and satisfactory transition. Rent continues until all personal belongings and furniture have been removed from the apartment. Providing adequate advance notice helps our team support residents and families during the move-out process.
