Leading with Care and Purpose

Greg Pflug – Executive Director

“Serving others makes me more passionate and fulfilled. I truly feel this is where the Lord leads me!”

Three decades with M&M/MARS built his foundation in operations, people, and excellence. Service on a community hospital board showed him the privilege of supporting people during life’s most significant moments. Both experiences prepared him perfectly for Rosewood.

His journey here included multiple roles: Community Consultant, Community Support Manager, and now Executive Director. Each position deepened his understanding of what makes exceptional senior living — talented, caring team members who genuinely see residents as people, not tasks.

Greg already knew many residents before stepping into this role. It feels like coming home. Outside work, you’ll find him with his wife Julie and sons Tyler and Spencer, or enjoying tennis, reading, and horseback riding.

Cindy Romines – Business Office Director

“I came to Rosewood to learn to love people again. I quickly fell in love with the residents, their families, and everyone here. This is the most rewarding job I’ve ever had.”

Cindy built her skill set over fourteen years as an Administrative Assistant. Faith brought her to Rosewood in December 2020. Healthcare was new territory — she’d never worked in it before.

What she discovered transformed her: caregivers giving endlessly, residents teaching daily lessons about resilience, a culture that genuinely feels like family. As a mother of three children, she’s surrounded by grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rosewood became her second family. She hopes to stay for years.

Christy Blake – Community Consultant

“My great-grandfather lived to 102. My brothers and I spent hours listening to his stories about ‘the good old days.’ We learned that elders deserve respect and value.”

That foundation shaped Christy’s entire career path. Thirty-plus years in sales and marketing gave her professional skills. Her heart for serving seniors gave her purpose. Helping families navigate major life decisions? That’s not just work — it’s an honor.

Her daughter Jessica and son Christian keep her busy alongside a large friend group when she is not working. Live music, traveling, and staying active fill her time. She calls herself, with a smile, a very active “pre-senior.”

Austin Allen – Maintenance Director

I serve as the Maintenance Director at Rosewood and bring over a decade of hands-on experience keeping buildings safe, functional, and well cared for. Over the years, I’ve worked in residential, commercial, senior living, and federal settings, handling everything from daily work orders to full renovations, along with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural repairs. My background also includes federal service and leadership in the Army National Guard, where I gained strong experience working with teams, accountability, and preventive maintenance.

I grew up in Dalton, Georgia and am proud to still call it home. I’m blessed with a wonderful wife, Kara, and our daughter, Emma, who keep me grounded and motivated both professionally and personally.

Kristy Kelley – Life Enrichment Director

I have always had a deep love for the senior community, and helping others has been a passion of mine since a very young age. I began my healthcare journey as a CNA in 2009, where I discovered how meaningful it is to care for and advocate for others. Over the years, I continued growing in the field by working for a home care company in human resources and scheduling, gaining valuable experience supporting both clients and staff. I am now at Rosewood because I truly believe God led me here, and I feel honored to be part of a community where compassion and purpose are at the heart of everything we do. I am a naturally positive person, and Rosewood allows me to fully embrace that part of myself by spreading encouragement, joy, and kindness each day as the Life Enrichment Director. I find great joy in making a positive difference in people’s daily lives and creating moments that truly matter. My husband James and I have been married for 11 years, and we are blessed with three beautiful children. In my free time, I enjoy quality time with my children and family, spending time outdoors appreciating God’s creations, and embracing the simple joys of everyday life.

Rhonda Sharp – Director of Nursing

“Making others’ lives better has always been my passion. Serving others and bringing light into their lives drives everything I do.”

12 years ago, Rhonda started as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Management of the Memory Care unit came next. Several years of growth alongside a dedicated team led to her becoming the Director of Nursing, a role she’s deeply grateful for.

Leading clinical care means ensuring every resident receives compassionate, high-quality support. Two amazing daughters and one granddaughter fill her personal life. Beach trips, park bike rides, and family time recharge her.

Conrad Gregory – Dietary Director

“I love Rosewood’s values; they inspire me to be the best Chef possible. Creating wonderful dishes for residents? When you love what you do, it’s not work.”

Faith led Conrad to Rosewood in February 2020. Years of culinary experience came with him — Sous Chef at Dalton Country Club, Executive Chef at a skilled nursing facility (13 years), Food Director at another assisted living community (4 years).

He is blessed with eight children and fourteen grandchildren. Fishing and golf fill his spare time. Serving Rosewood residents for years ahead? That’s the plan.

Cortney Hewitt – Community Relations Directions

“Making others’ lives better has always been my passion. Serving others and bringing light into their lives drives everything I do.”

Cortney Hewitt is a Community Relations Director who genuinely loves spending time with older adults and their families. The aging population holds a special place in her heart. There is nothing she enjoys more than hearing about someone’s life journey, the wisdom they’ve gathered along the way, or even the TV show they’re currently hooked on.

With over 20 years of experience in relationship-based sales and community engagement, Cortney has learned that trust is built one authentic conversation at a time. Her background in outreach, referral development, and event planning helps her connect seniors, families, and community partners with the resources and support they need.

Rooted in South Catoosa County’s Woodstation area, Cortney loves spending time outside with her husband and their twin boys. She is deeply involved at Boynton United Methodist Church, where she supports the youth and participates in the United Methodist Women’s Group.

Above all, she strives to create a welcoming, friendly environment where every person feels seen, heard, and valued. “Because this season of life deserves both dignity and joy.”
