July– Resident Spotlight

Mary is 93 years old, but you wouldn’t know it by the way she gets around. She was born in Tullahoma, Tennessee, but moved to Chattanooga around the time she started high school. She lived there and worked at Hamilton National Bank out of High School. At 28 years old, she married her now late husband, Robert U. Belcher. A few years later, they moved to Catoosa County, and started their family. They had three children together, two girls and a boy. Mary stayed at home after she had her daughter, to raise her children and be a homemaker. She even took care of their small farm. She raised her children to have good morals and great attitudes. She was actively involved in her community, and was a member of Boynton Baptist. She “answered the call of God” in her younger twenties, and has grown to be a woman of great faith. We chose Mary this month because she is kind to everyone she meets. She is honest and dependable. She helps some of our other residents to make sure they come out for events, and find their way back to their rooms. She has befriended new residents to make sure they feel like they are at home. She is humble and sweet spirited. Mary, we are blessed to have you as a part of our Rosewood family!
