We have had a great couple of months. Since we are fully open to the public now, we have thoroughly enjoyed seeing more family and friends come to visit. Our impromptu Family Days were a success. Our Independence Day Celebration was spread out over a few days. We had good fun, fun and games, and great conversation.
The residents loved going to Grumpy’s Antiques. It kick-started many memories being shared and a light-hearted debate on which car was the coolest to drive “back in the good ol’ days.”
We were even able to go fishing at Miracle Field Park in Tunnel Hill. The residents loved soaking in the sun while sharing life stories. They loved being outside and didn’t even mind touching the bait!
Sadly we had to see some residents go back to the Lantern. We were happy and honored to take them in after the tornado hit there. While we are so glad they were able to rebuild, we are going to really miss the residents that became part of the Rosewood family for a time.
Overall, July was a great month. We celebrated many birthdays, got new residents, and tried new things. We are looking forward to what is to come as we bring back Family Night in September and more entertainers.
