Oakwood Christian Academy Band Performance

December 7th at 2:30 p.m.

Students from Oakwood Christian Academy’s band will be here to share their Christmas performance with our staff and residents. This band is a delight to watch, showcasing great harmony and rich talent. Please join us in the dining room at 2:30 for a wonderful performance you won’t want to miss.

Family Day Dessert Party

December 9th at 2 p.m.

This will be our last family event for the 2023! Please, invite your family to join you for our dessert party. We will have a spread of many different desserts and drinks for you and your family to enjoy. We appreciate you and your family, and this event is one way to show our thanks.

Christmas Carols with Tyler

December 12th at 6 p.m.

Tyler with Tapestry Hospice will be here Tuesday evening to lead us in Christmas carols and an activity. He will also be bringing a group of young men to engage with our residents and learn a little more about them. This is a wonderful sentiment. We are always grateful to those who take the time to show our residents such loving kindness.

Nightshine Tour to See Christmas Lights

December 14th & 21st at 6 p.m.

We had a fantastic turnout last year, and we’re doing the event twice, just like before. Sign-up sheets are available in the folder at the front desk. It’s first-come, first-served, and we’ll accommodate one non-transferrable wheelchair each night. We’ll rotate residents to include more people. Be sure to join us!

Christmas Carols with The Gathering

December 19th at 6 p.m.

Members from The Gathering will be here to sing Christmas carols to our residents in the dining room. They will also be bringing a special treat to share! Please, make every effort to attend this performance.

Lunch Outing to Golden Corral

December 21st at 11:30 a.m

We will enjoy our last lunch outing of the year with a trip to Golden Corral. The sign-up sheet will be in the folder at the front desk as per usual. Make sure to sign up ASAP so that you get a seat on the bus. If you have never been, it is a buffet with many different options for you to choose from. As always, you must provide money to pay for your meal.

New Year’s Day Celebrations

December 31st

On December 31, we’re hosting two New Year’s Day celebrations! At 3 p.m., residents are invited to join Life Enrichment in the Discovery Center for snacks, drinks, and accessories. We’ll ring in the New Year at 4 p.m. for the early birds who can’t stay up until midnight. Additionally, at 11 p.m., Life Enrichment will be back in the Discovery Center with more snacks, drinks, and accessories. We’ll watch the Times Square ball drop in real-time on TV and welcome 2024 together. Please make every effort to attend this special event!
